  This is a local hardware store the way they used to be. Friendly staff who can either help with a question or find someone else who can, good service and local enough that it means I don't need to keep my own stock of all sorts of things on hand. Being a local store they don't have the space to offer the same variety as the big box stores and the prices are usually a little higher (not much, typically not enough to make it worth driving to the faceless big box stores). I'd rather spend the money here and support a local business, especially when the local business supports me back the way they do here.
